The artist is Amy Marr.  She grew up on the Great South Bay of Long Island and lives in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.

 

Amy always had a great love and appreciation for art.  In her early years, she enjoyed going to art museums and reading art books about famous works and artists.  As an adult, she had a career in computers and teaching in NJ.  It was after her retirement that she decided to reinvent herself as an artist.  She took on her new studies with intensity.

 

A resident of Murrells Inlet, SC and lover of the seashore, Amy takes inspiration from the natural beauty of the oceanfront, bays and marshes and historic cities and towns.

Amy enjoys working in several genres using oil paints and pastels. She is excited to exhibit her work and offer them to the public.
